Hard Sun by Indio

We are pleased to announce the next cover contest on Acoustical Alternative. The cover contest for April 2008 is "Hard Sun" by Indio.  This cover was made famous in the soundtrack to the movie "Into the Wild" where it is performed by Eddie Vedder. Vedder is the Pearl Jam frontman and composed the entire soundtrack for Into the Wild.

Prizes
We are happy to announce this is the first cover contest on Acoustical Alternative where a prize is up for grabs! The winner of this contest will receive a copy of the official Into the Wild movie soundtrack.

What are cover contests?
Cover contests allow us to showcase and promote amateur talent. With the invention of YouTube, more and more people are posting videos online of themselves playing various covers and original pieces. Our goal is to promote the talent of all amateur musicians. Plus, covering songs is fun!

How do I participate? These are the rules:
There are a few simple rules to keep the contest organized and relevant:
1. Make a video of yourself (and/or others) playing the song "Hard Sun" by Indio. You must be visible in the video, and  incorporate an acoustic guitar.
2. Upload the video to YouTube. *
3. Register with Acoustical Alternative (free) and add the video to your account.
4. Click here to submit your entry to the contest. You must be logged in to submit an entry. (Submissions closed)

* When uploading a video to YouTube, please put the following message in the description:
"Entered into the "Hard Sun" cover contest at http://www.acousticalalternative.com"

The contest will accept submissions until May 14th, 2008. On May 15th, voting will begin, and on May 30th, a winner will be announced.
