About Us

Acoustical Alternative is an online community focused around acoustic music. Our goal is to provide a medium for discovering and enjoying this music genre. With a growing indie music scene and an increasing number of independent artists, we can only hope the acoustic music scene will continue to grow.

Acoustical Alternative was created in September 2006, and launched a prototype website that catered to a small community of music enthusiasts. The second version of AA brought social networking capabilities, allowing us to provide profiles for musicians and fans alike. Members can upload pictures, music and link to their YouTube videos.

We hope to bring new acoustic music to you every week through our different promotional programs. Acoustical Alternative Net Radio is a streaming radio broadcast in which we showcase independent, unsigned and up-and-coming artists. Through our Featured Artists and Band of the Month sections we can continually provide a new listening experience.
